Basketball Recap: Culver Academies Victorious

Culver Academies won the last time they faced Twin Lakes, and Jimara Combs did her part to make sure it happened again. The Culver Academies Eagles took down the Twin Lakes Indians 54-36 on Monday thanks in part to Combs, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 16 points and eight boards. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Kayla Herron, who posted nine points. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Twin Lakes lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jasmine West, who earned eight points and five rebounds. Taylor Oliver was another key player, putting up 14 points and six boards.

Culver Academies' victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Twin Lakes, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.

Culver Academies has already played their next contest (against Michigan City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Twin Lakes will challenge Tri-County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
