Basketball Game Preview: University Bulldogs vs. Fort Morgan Mustangs

The University Bulldogs will head out to challenge the Fort Morgan Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. University knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Fort Morgan likes a good challenge.

University is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They really took it to Valley for the full four quarters, racking up a 108-42 victory. With the Bulldogs ahead 54-26 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Fort Morgan ended up a good deal behind Eaton on Tuesday and lost 59-40. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 240th, while the Reds are ranked 119th).

University has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Fort Morgan, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Everything came up roses for University against Fort Morgan in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as the squad secured a 71-40 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for University since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
