Softball Recap: Creswell Takes a Loss

Creswell fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against La Pine on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 18-17. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Creswell now has a losing record of 5-6. As for La Pine, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Creswell will host Sisters at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Outlaws have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.15 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for La Pine, they will welcome Burns at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hilanders will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Hawks surely won't give up without a fight.
