Softball Game Preview: Sanger Indians vs. Community Braves

For the second straight game, Sanger will face off against Community. The Indians will take on the Braves at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sanger is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.

Sanger is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Community, sneaking past 7-6.

Leala Kloewer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Chelsea Walton, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalilah Millan, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Community and nudges their season record down to 14-6-1. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Sanger, their victory bumped their record up to 19-7-3.
