Basketball Game Preview: Marist Spartans vs. Junction City Tigers

Marist and Junction City are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Marist Spartans will be playing at home against the Junction City Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Friday, Marist came up short against Marshfield and fell 46-35. That's two games in a row now that the Spartans have lost by exactly 11 points.

Meanwhile, Junction City won against North Bend on Tuesday with 50 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Junction City secured a 50-45 W over Cottage Grove. The win was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Marist's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-5. As for Junction City, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6.

Marist strolled past Junction City when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a score of 36-20. Does Marist have another victory up their sleeve, or will Junction City turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
