Baseball Recap: Mapleton/Siuslaw Takes a Loss

Mapleton/Siuslaw suffered their closest loss since April 5, 2025 on Friday. They fell just short of the Elmira Falcons by a score of 6-4. The Sailors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Mapleton/Siuslaw now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Elmira, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Mapleton/Siuslaw will be playing at home against Marshfield at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Sailors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season. As for Elmira, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-4 victory against Siuslaw on the 3rd.
