Bishop McNamara is still undefeated this season after their contest against Aurora Christian on Friday, but Aurora Christian came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Fightin' Irish narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Eagles 45-42. The Fightin' Irish have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Bishop McNamara's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Julius May, who rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns. May also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making three total tackles (2.0 for loss). Karter Krustinger was another key passer, throwing for 70 yards and a pair of TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bishop McNamara was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 414 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 285 rushing yards in four consecutive games.

Bishop McNamara's record is now 5-0. As for Aurora Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
