Volleyball Recap: Centennial Baptist Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Leilani Malepeai and Katie Oostra + How To Watch

Centennial Baptist was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Riverstone International Otters. If the Mustangs were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Otters when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Centennial Baptist's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Katie Oostra, who had nine kills, three digs, and two aces, and Leilani Malepeai, who had eight kills, three digs, and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Hayek, who had four digs and one assist.

Centennial Baptist's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Riverstone International, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Centennial Baptist is set to challenge their familiar foe Liberty Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Riverstone International will take on rival Victory Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
