Preview: Lawrence Tigers vs. White Pigeon Chiefs
The Lawrence Tigers will be playing at home against the White Pigeon Chiefs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. White Pigeon took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Lawrence, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, Lawrence was able to grind out a solid victory over Bangor, taking the game 41-33.
Lawrence found their leader in underclassman Carolina Mancera, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Mancera has scored at least a third of Lawrence's points. Colleen McCaw was another key contributor, scoring five points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, White Pigeon was beaten by Comstock 56-15 on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points White Pigeon has scored all season.
Lawrence pushed their record up to 9-5 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for White Pigeon, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4.
