Fort Walton Beach played against Navarre and won via forfeit.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fort Walton Beach to victory, but perhaps none more so than SaRuan Newton, who scored 12 points. Taniha Higgins was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Fort Walton Beach is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Navarre, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.
Fort Walton Beach will head out on the road to challenge Ponce De Leon at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Ponce De Leon will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak. Navarre won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Jay at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Jay presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Navarre in Florida (Jay is ranked 80th, while Navarre is ranked 238th).
