Baseball Recap: Navasota Sets Scoring Season-High Against Corrigan-Camden

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Navasota). They never let the Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Thursday. The Rattlers not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 28, 2024.

Cash Fox was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one triple. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI.

In other batting news, Evan Otto was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Otto, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

The victory made it two in a row for Navasota and bumps their season record up to 4-5. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-4-1 Corrigan-Camden and 3-7-1 Coldspring-Oakhurst. As for Corrigan-Camden, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4-1.

Coming up, Navasota will take on Little River Academy in a tournament on Friday. As for Corrigan-Camden, they will be taking part in a tournament against Coldspring-Oakhurst at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
