Volleyball Recap: Ridgeview Comes Up Short at Home Against Fleming Island + How To Watch

Ridgeview unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Fleming Island Golden Eagles on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Panthers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Golden Eagles since Tuesday.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Fleming Island scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17, 25-21.

Emily McCrea paced Ridgeview's offense, picking up six kills. McCrea also shared the team's lead in assists with Payton Cannon: they picked up nine each. Kara Reed controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
