Volleyball Recap: KIPP Navigate College Prep Comes Up Short

KIPP Navigate College Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the University Prep Academy Golden Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in April.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-10, 25-12.

University Prep Academy was led to victory by Brandon Nguyen and Taran Kollu. Nguyen had 30 digs and three assists, while Kollu had five digs and one block. That's the most digs Nguyen has posted over his last six contests.

KIPP Navigate College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for University Prep Academy, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 18-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. KIPP Navigate College Prep will take on KIPP San Jose Collegiate at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for University Prep Academy, they will head out to take on Basis Independent Silicon Valley at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Golden Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
