Basketball Recap: Chaparral Find Success

It may have taken double overtime to finish the job, but Chaparral ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They pulled ahead with a 53-52 photo finish over the Mesilla Valley Christian School SonBlazers. The victory almost wasn't to be: the Lobos were down 34-19 in the third quarter.

Chaparral's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Mesilla Valley Christian School, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chaparral will host Carlsbad at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Mesilla Valley Christian School has already played their next game (against Immanuel Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
