Basketball Recap: Lynchburg HomeSchool Takes a Loss

Lynchburg HomeSchool lost against New Covenant back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lynchburg HomeSchool Patriots lost to the New Covenant Gryphons on the road by a 34-19 margin. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

New Covenant got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alicia Kenny out in front who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 14 boards. The dominant performance gave Kenny a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Ellie Jacobs, who posted seven points in addition to 13 boards and six assists.

Lynchburg HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for New Covenant, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Lynchburg HomeSchool will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Faith Christian at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for New Covenant, they will venture away from home to challenge Grace Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
