Calvary Day School and GRACE Christian are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2017, but not for long. The Calvary Day School Cougars will take on the GRACE Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Calvary Day School knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matches -- so hopefully GRACE Christian likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Calvary Day School really took it to Cary Christian for the full four quarters, racking up a 75-39 victory. With the Cougars ahead 46-15 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and GRACE Christian had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 51-38 win over John Paul II Catholic on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on six straight.

Calvary Day School better focus on containing Eli Nelson and Malachi Tate as the pair were huge in GRACE Christian's win. Nelson posted 12 points, while Tate went 5-for-8 on his way to 10 points and seven rebounds. Nelson is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Knight, who had five points.

GRACE Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2024.

GRACE Christian pushed their record up to 18-17 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points over those games. As for Calvary Day School, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 17-12 record this season.

Things could have been worse for Calvary Day School, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-40 loss to GRACE Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Calvary Day School avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
