Softball Recap: White River Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

White River was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Kentlake on Friday. The Hornets put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 16-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won 11 contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Ashley Terlaje was a standout: she went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Selander, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: White River kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. They are 11-2 when they post 11 or more hits.

White River's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-7. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Kentlake, they moved to 10-8 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

As of now, neither White River nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
