Softball Recap: Monarch Knights vs. South Broward Bulldogs
Monarch can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent match on Monday. They put the hurt on the South Broward Bulldogs with a sharp 13-2 victory. The win was some much needed relief for Monarch as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Monarch got a massive performance out of Kylie Kim, who went 4-for-4 with six RBI and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Camryn Piskun, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
On South Broward's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leah Granato 2027, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Granato 2027 is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last three games she's played.
Monarch's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for South Broward, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monarch will take on Taravella at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Broward, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Hollywood Hills at 6:30 p.m.
