Baseball Game Preview: Indian Springs Student vs. Fairfield Tigers

For the second straight game, Indian Springs will face off against Fairfield. The Student will venture away from home to square off against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Indian Springs was handed a 15-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Fairfield 7-5.

For Fairfield's part, Antwon Landrum put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off six hits. What's more, Landrum gave up only two walks, the fewest he's had since back in March. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Cedarian Clemon was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Fairfield's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Indian Springs, their win bumped their record up to 8-9-1.
