Softball Recap: Donna North Comes Up Short

Donna North fell victim to Mercedes and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 16-0. The Chiefs just can't catch a break and have now endured 13 losses in a row.

Donna North saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Briana Ayar, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Donna North's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Mercedes, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Donna North is set to square off against their familiar foe Rivera at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mercedes will take on rival Edcouch-Elsa at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tigers 2.9, the Yellowjackets 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
