Danvers and Lynn Classical are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2015, but likely not for long. The Falcons will look to defend their home field on Saturday against the Rams at 10:00 a.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Danvers took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past Peabody Veterans Memorial 5-4.

The team relied heavily on Josh Henry, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Danvers is undefeated when Henry posts two or more stolen bases, but 2-4 otherwise. Bryce Clark was another key player, earning two RBI, one run, and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lynn Classical). They were the clear victors by a 20-2 margin over Chelsea on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Red Devils: they've now won seven in a row.
Braeden Ohannesian and Sam Morris were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Ohannesian tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Morris tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, Ohannesian got on base in both of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI, while Morris went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Lynn Classical got a massive performance out of Ronal Brea, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those RBI marked the first that Brea has brought in this season. Another player making a difference was D Munoz, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Lynn Classical always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Danvers' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lynn Classical, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Danvers has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Lynn Classical struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Danvers couldn't quite finish off Lynn Classical when the teams last played back in May of 2024 and fell 6-4. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
