Soccer Recap: Southern Lee Takes a Loss

After flying high against Western Harnett last Monday, Southern Lee came back down to earth. The Cavaliers came up short against the Union Pines Vikings on Friday, falling 6-2. Southern Lee were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-1.

Elizabeth Harrington and Ryan Phillips scored both of Southern Lee's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 28 goals.

The defeat snapped Southern Lee's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-2 record. As for Union Pines, they pushed their record up to 8-3-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
