Soccer Recap: Bishop McNamara Takes a Loss

After flying high against Chicago Christian on Thursday, Bishop McNamara came back down to earth. The Fightin' Irish fell just short of Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. If Bishop McNamara were looking for revenge after losing 7-0 to Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ava Brockell and Lydia Nugent scored both of Bishop McNamara's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Bishop McNamara's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family, they moved to 3-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Bishop McNamara will be playing at home against Manteno at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family, they will take on Aurora Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
