Gibson County's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Ripley on Thursday. The Pioneers walked away with a 9-6 victory over the Peabody Golden Tide. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Pioneers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Chloe Allmon was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Gibson County's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-7. As for Peabody, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gibson County will head out to face off against Obion County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Peabody, they will venture away from home to challenge Westview at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
