Basketball Recap: Cedar Springs Comes Up Short

Cedar Springs easily dispatched Comstock Park last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Cedar Springs Red Hawks fell just short of the Jenison Wildcats by a score of 58-55 on Tuesday. The Red Hawks haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Cedar Springs' loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Jenison, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cedar Springs will square off against Wayland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wayland will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Cedar Springs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Jenison, they will challenge Zeeland East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
