St. Thomas Aquinas waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against the Venice Indians as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Raiders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant St. Thomas Aquinas was: they took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-6, 25-13.

Isabella Cabrera paced St. Thomas Aquinas' offense, picking up eight kills. Cabrera got some help from Sydney Guerrier and her 13 assists. Guerrier also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Emmi Merhi, racking up three apiece.

Despite the loss, Venice still got an impressive performance from Amelia Anselmi, who had 11 assists and five digs.

St. Thomas Aquinas' win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Venice, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-4.

Coming up, St. Thomas Aquinas will head out to square off against Assumption at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Venice, they have already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Seacrest Country Day on the 10th.
