Basketball Recap: Bethlehem Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Bethlehem Christian Academy saw some tournament action on Saturday. Their2024 ended with a 56-42 loss against the First Presbyterian Day Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 348th, while the Vikings are ranked 156th).

Despite the loss, Bethlehem Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Rockie Sapp, who made all 7 shots she took for 20 points and four steals. The matchup was Sapp's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryleigh Acres, who posted seven points.

Bethlehem Christian Academy dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for First Presbyterian Day, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
