Volleyball Game Preview: Pyramid Lake Lakers vs. Sage Ridge Scorpions + How To Watch

The Pyramid Lake Lakers will venture away from home to square off against the Sage Ridge Scorpions at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Pyramid Lake is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering McDermitt just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0.

Pyramid Lake took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-21, 27-25.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Sage Ridge and Mineral County, and Mineral County kept the tradition alive. The Scorpions took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Serpents on Saturday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 22-25, 25-14, 25-15.

Sage Ridge now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Pyramid Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

Pyramid Lake took their victory against Sage Ridge in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lakers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
