Volleyball Game Preview: Dobyns-Bennett Indians vs. Girls Prep Bruisers

The Dobyns-Bennett Indians will take on the Girls Prep Bruisers in a tournament on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, Dobyns-Bennett didn't have quite enough to beat Science Hill and fell 3-2. The Indians have struggled against the Hilltoppers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Dobyns-Bennett sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 18-25, 25-20, 21-25, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Girls Prep came up short against Mercy on Friday and fell 2-0. The loss put an end to the Bruisers' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Girls Prep fell to 3-1. As for Dobyns-Bennett, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Dobyns-Bennett was able to grind out a solid victory over Girls Prep in their previous meeting back in August of 2015, winning 2-0. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bruisers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
