Basketball Game Preview: Legend Titans vs. Rock Canyon Jaguars

Legend has won six straight games at home, while Rock Canyon has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The Legend Titans will welcome the Rock Canyon Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. Legend is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.2 points per game this season.

Last Friday, Legend earned a 39-26 win over ThunderRidge. The 39-point effort marked the Titans' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Legend's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aislyn Korella, who posted seven points and three steals. Korella is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. Maile Starns was another key player, putting up five points.

Legend smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in six consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Rock Canyon didn't have too much trouble with Poudre on Saturday as they won 46-31. Given the Jaguars' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while the Impalas are ranked 95th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rock Canyon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points over those games. As for Legend, their win bumped their record up to 15-4.

Everything went Legend's way against Rock Canyon in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as Legend made off with a 62-38 victory. Does Legend have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rock Canyon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
