Basketball Recap: Hifz Academy Drops Season-High Score on Champions Christian Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hifz Academy). They took down the Champions Christian Academy Lions 56-38 on Monday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Pegasuses considering their 29-point performance the contest before.

Champions Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Joshua Brown and Kurtis Colon. Brown posted 20 points and five steals, while Colon put up 11 points and seven boards.

Hifz Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Champions Christian Academy, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Looking ahead, Hifz Academy will take on Florida College Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Champions Christian Academy, they will square off against Families Instructing Students HomeSchool at 3:30 p.m. on February 20th. Families Instructing Students HomeSchool will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Champions Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
