Game recap

LOVELAND, Colo. - Loveland (Colo.) didn't let up as Saturday's game came to a close, scoring seven in the fourth quarter to seal a 35-13 victory over Thompson Valley (Loveland, Colo.).

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Ryan McCloughan in the second quarter, the Indians led 21-7 at the half.

Loveland expanded its lead to 15 points entering the fourth quarter. LHS's lone score in the quarter came on a defensive touchdown.

Coming into the game the Indians had allowed 18.0 points per game this year. The defense really stepped up, holding the Eagles well below their season average of 21.3 points scored per game.

Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 24-19 win for LHS.

The win was a nice bounce back for the Indians, who lost to Windsor last week, 18-0. The loss was the third in a row for Thompson Valley.

In a 4A Northern game next week Loveland (6-1) takes on Longmont, and Thompson Valley (3-4) will go up against Greeley Central also in a 4A Northern game.
