Baseball Recap: UME Preparatory Academy Takes a Loss

UME Preparatory Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 8-2 to the Grace Prep Lions. The EAGLES were not able to make up for their loss to the Lions from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

UME Preparatory Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Phelps, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

UME Preparatory Academy's record is now 1-11. As for Grace Prep, their victory ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7-1.

Coming up, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the EAGLES duke it out with the Falcons at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Grace Prep, they will take on Bishop Dunne at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Grace Prep will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
