Basketball Game Preview: Corona Panthers vs. Silverado Hawks

Having just played yesterday, the Corona Panthers will jump right back in to play the Silverado Hawks at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Silverado will be up against a hot Corona team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Panthers claimed a resounding 84-40 victory over Miller. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-24.

Meanwhile, Silverado gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 76-25 win over Serrano. The Hawks pushed the score to 66-23 by the end of the third, a deficit the Diamondbacks had no chance of recovering from.

Corona's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Silverado, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

Corona took a serious blow against Silverado in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 73-38. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
