Football Preview: Nampa Bulldogs vs. Columbia Wildcats
The Nampa Bulldogs will face off against the Columbia Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Nampa is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Nampa came up short against Boise and fell 25-15.
Meanwhile, while Columbia put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Caldwell. Columbia really took it to Caldwell for the full four quarters, racking up a 43-0 victory on the road. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Wildcats had established a 22 point advantage.
Gavin Healey went supernova for Columbia, throwing for 270 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.2% of his passes. Tyson Winkelman was in the mix as well, providing Columbia with two touchdowns.
Columbia wouldn't let Caldwell keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Columbia can thank Brenten Thueson and Michael Dominguez for forcing both of them. Dominguez didn't just play on offense: he also forced a fumble and made seven total tackles (1.5 for loss).
Nampa now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Columbia, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
