Riverside and San Elizario are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2020, but not for long. The Rangers will be playing at home against the Eagles at 6:35 p.m. on Friday.

Riverside lost 3-0 to Mountain View on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Rangers have suffered against the Lobos since October 12, 2021.

Riverside was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Mountain View work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-27, 25-18, 25-23.

Meanwhile, San Elizario earned a 3-1 win over Fabens on Tuesday.

San Elizario walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-23, 24-26, 25-18.

Riverside has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for San Elizario, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-11 record this season.

Riverside was able to grind out a solid win over San Elizario in their previous matchup back in September, winning 3-1. Will the Rangers repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
