Baseball Recap: Delavan Comes Up Short

Deer Creek-Mackinaw hit Delavan with a six-run second inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers fell 8-3 to the Chiefs. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Chiefs earlier this season, when they won 5-3.

Delavan saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Corbin Soldal, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Delavan's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Deer Creek-Mackinaw, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
