Soccer Game Preview: Longmont vs. Fort Morgan

The Longmont Trojans will square off against the Fort Morgan Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

Longmont's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Weld Central as they made off with a 6-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Longmont, who have now won seven contests by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Weld Central with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Claire Sebring (2), Cora Reinholt (2), Ella Erwin, and Kylissa Kirk.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fort Morgan). They beat Sterling by a goal, winning 4-3. The win continues a trend for Fort Morgan in their matchups with Sterling: they've now won four in a row.

Fort Morgan's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-8-1. As for Longmont, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.
