Basketball Recap: Greenhill Makes It 26 in a Row at Home

On Saturday, the Greenhill Hornets didn't have too much trouble with the St. Andrew's Highlanders as they won 67-51. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Highlanders are ranked 264th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Greenhill's victory was their 26th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.3 points per game. As for St. Andrew's, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenhill will head out to square off against Fort Worth Country Day at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Fort Worth Country Day's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches. As for St. Andrew's, they will venture away from home to face off against LBJ Austin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. LBJ Austin will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something St. Andrew's surely won't give up without a fight.
