Softball Recap: Walker Valley Mustangs vs. Cleveland Blue Raiders
After a string of seven wins, Walker Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of the Cleveland Blue Raiders by a score of 3-2. Walker Valley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Cleveland apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played two weeks ago.
Ryann Presswood put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over ten innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and not a single walk). Presswood has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive pitching appearances.
