Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Crestwood). They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 54-12 victory over the Brooklyn Hurricanes. The Red Devils pushed the score to 54-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Hurricanes cut but never quite recovered from.

When it comes to explaining why Brooklyn lost, don't look at Lyle Taylor. Despite the final result, he picked up 157 receiving yards and one score. Taylor was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 50 yards.

The win made it two in a row for Crestwood and bumps their season record up to 2-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.0 points over those games. As for Brooklyn, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Crestwood and Brooklyn will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Red Devils are set to challenge their familiar foe Chagrin Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Brooklyn will square off against rival Beachwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
