Softball Recap: Canton Preparatory Comes Up Short

Cabrini hit Canton Preparatory with a four-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Chargers lost 11-1 to the Monarchs. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Chargers have suffered since April 19th.

Canton Preparatory saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zoie Greene, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double. Greene is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played. Alexis Krieger-McKane also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Canton Preparatory's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5-1. As for Cabrini, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-16.

Canton Preparatory does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cabrini, they will square off against Crestwood at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
