Baseball Recap: Biggs Comes Up Short

Biggs extended their losing streak to five on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 11-10 in the process. They lost 14-4 to the Los Molinos Bulldogs. The Wolverines were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

As for Los Molinos, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games.

For Los Molinos' part, Brody Fimea was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Fimea was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

In other batting news, Los Molinos got a big performance out of Jaydin Underwood, who went 1-for-2 with three runs and two RBI. Kyson Button was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Biggs will face off against Hamilton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolverines' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Braves have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Los Molinos, they will square off against Redding Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
