Volleyball Recap: Appleton West Takes a Loss

Appleton West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wauwatosa West Trojans.

Wauwatosa West was led to victory by Genevieve Gallion and Adele Gallion. Genevieve had five aces and one assist, while Adele had nine assists and four digs. Those five aces gave Genevieve a new career-high.

Appleton West's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Wauwatosa West, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Appleton West will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kaukauna at 7:00 p.m. on the 18th. As for Wauwatosa West, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against St. Joseph on the 30th.
