Basketball Recap: Ysleta Indians vs. Del Valle Conquistadores
If the Ysleta Indians were feeling good off their 54-25 takedown of the Horizon Scorpions last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Ysleta fell just short of the Conquistadores by a score of 29-27. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ysleta in their matchups with the Conquistadores: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Ysleta still got an impressive performance from Sophia Terrazas, who scored eight points.
Ysleta's defeat dropped their record down to 11-19. As for Del Valle, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 15-16 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ysleta will challenge the Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hanks will be looking to extend their current 15-game winning streak. As for Del Valle, they will head out on the road to take on the Highlanders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Bel Air focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Tuesday.
