Basketball Recap: Lebanon Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Lebanon had won three straight home games and Claire Boling did her part to make it four on Friday. The Lebanon Tigers came out on top against the Western Boone Stars by a score of 54-44 thanks in part to Boling, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 boards. She also grabbed five steals, which is notable because Lebanon is 4-1 when she posts at least five steals, but 1-2 otherwise.

Leila Richards was another key player, putting up seven points and four steals. Those four steals gave her a new career-high.

Several Stars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ally Lewis, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Lewis has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jaylee Dickerson, who posted 11 points and four steals.

Lebanon has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Western Boone, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lebanon will head out to take on Indianapolis Shortridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Western Boone, they will venture away from home to square off against Cascade at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
