Soccer Recap: Edison Gets the Win

After failing to score in their last matchup, Edison made sure to put some goals up on the board against Merced on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Bears 5-4. For Edison, this counts as revenge for the 4-2 win Merced walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2025.

Edison is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-8-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four matches. As for Merced, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3-3.

Coming up, Edison will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Weston Ranch at 7:00 p.m. As for Merced, they will challenge Los Banos at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be Merced's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
