Football Recap: Trona Skates Past PAL Academy with Ease

Trona put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the PAL Academy Bulls, posting a 50-18 victory. Considering the Tornadoes have won three contests by more than 24 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Trona didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Ethan Kasamis picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.3 rushing touchdowns per game. Trona received some extra help from Kasamis, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Trona's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for PAL Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Looking ahead, Trona will face off against Frazier Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Tornadoes' defense better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 31.2 points per game this season. As for PAL Academy, they will square off against West Shores at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulls will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 43 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
