After a string of three wins, the Surry HomeSchool Runnin' Patriots's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a hard 37-23 fall against South Guilford HomeSchool. Having soared to a lofty 57 points in the game before, Surry HomeSchool couldn't push the score so high this time.
South Guilford HomeSchool was led to victory by Taliya Davis and Kassidy Bullins. Davis scored 9 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals, while Bullins scored 10 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 blocks. That makes it two consecutive games in which Bullins has scored at least 25% of South Guilford HomeSchool's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailey Bullins, who scored 3 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals.
Surry HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for South Guilford HomeSchool, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Greater Cabarrus S the next time they take the court. Surry HomeSchool will host Greater Cabarrus S at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while South Guilford HomeSchool will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
