With a playoff win on the line, Ocean Springs rose to the challenge on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Petal Panthers as they made off with a 3-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Greyhounds sure are getting used to it with their 12th in a row.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-18, 25-12.
Anna Hoffmayer paced Ocean Springs' offense, picking up ten kills. Hoffmayer got some help from Baylor Edmiston and her 12 assists. Edmiston also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Alden St. Amant, each putting up three.
Ocean Springs' win bumped their record up to 37-5. As for Petal, their loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 17-13.
Ocean Springs wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Harrison Central on the 9th. Petal does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
